A video clip from Pastor Paul: This is Steve Harvey, a comedian, addressing a secular audience. The subject is: "How Would You Introduce Christ to a Room Full of People?" It's hard to imagine that this is a comedian and not a preacher, and this is an audience and not a congregation. It must have been at the end of his routine, because...well, you'll see.

Mission Statement:
St. John's Lutheran Church
is a community of God's people, called by Jesus
Christ joyfully to serve His family through Word, sacrament and care.

Vision Statement:
We challenge one another to teach, preach, equip and support others according to our gifts-beyond the scope of what we may receive in return.  We do this so that we may be God's living testimony of love and faith.

Our Values:

As a caring community of Christ, we believe:

1. Christ is ever-present in our daily lives.

2. We are imperfect vessels of God’s perfect love.

3. We are empowered through the Holy Spirit to work together as one body in Christ.

4. Each one of us has been richly blessed with unique talents, resources and abilities.

5. We are called to celebrate our diversity.

6. All people — within and outside St. John’s — are part of Christ’s family.

7. Growing our faith — both personally and as a community — is essential to our mission and purpose.

8. Faith and wisdom grow from success and failure.

9. Serving others with prayer, praise and thanksgiving gives glory to God.
