The confirmation class at St. John’s consists of youth from grades 7 and 8. We meet weekly from September through May in the coach house for classes. Our two year curriculum deals with major Bible stories and Luther’s Small Catechism (the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, and the Sacraments – Baptism & Holy Communion.)
The idea behind this course of study is to prepare our youth for adult participation in the ministry and learning within the church of Christ. We look deeper into our faith and have fun at the same time. We also look at ways we can serve our Lord by volunteering in worship, and in the community.
